This time right on our doorstep. Wow successfully completed a shop for 3 mobile in Chesterfield last month. The clean clear lines and simple outlay are all part of the remit that 3 specify.
The first 3 mobile stores was opened up on 3rd March 2003 – 3 of them simultaneously on London’s Oxford Street and High Street Kensington and in Birmingham at the Mailbox. Since 2005 a rapid expansion plan of store openings have happened right across Britain, the following year 3mobile purchased 95 stores from O2 and The Link. Three’s handsets and contracts are also sold by mobile phone chains and independent outlets throughout the UK, as well as online retailers. In 2010, 3Mobile became the fourth network to launch the iPhone and were voted Best Network for Mobile Broadband in a YouGov survey for the second year in a row.
3 mobile is a brand name under which several mobile and broadband providers operate under and is owned by Hutchison Whampoa. In February 2013 Ofcom announced that 3Mobile had won 2 x 5 MHz of 800 MHz to use for their 4G rollout which was expected to start in summer 2013 however 3Mobile have since delayed the 800Mhz rollout until the fourth quarter of 2013 citing that they want to analyse the performance of other networks’ 4G coverage first.
John Staveley, Director of Wow said “I am very pleased with the way our roll out programme is panning out nationwide and we shall continue to do our very best for them.”
